By a Falun Dafa practitioner in China
(Minghui.org) My older brother used to be a member of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Whenever I brought up the topic of Falun Dafa he refused to listen. However, each time I was arrested for practicing Falun Dafa he did everything he could to rescue me.
My brother told me he couldn’t understand why I would give up everything for something intangible. On the other hand, he acknowledged that I’m kind and considerate of others. He told me, “You should go aboard. Once you leave China you'll be able to openly practice Falun Dafa.”
In December 2022 my brother tested positive for COVID. At first his symptoms were not serious, and he had no fever. He began coughing a week later, and developed a rapid heart rate. His oxygen level dropped. He was hospitalized. Three days passed but his condition did not improve. He was concerned that I would contract the virus if I visited him so he did not tell me he was hospitalized. When his condition deteriorated, his wife called me.
I went to see him in the hospital. He looked awful, had no energy, and was depressed. He said the virus was intense. I knew even though he quit the CCP many years ago, he still did not fully understand what Falun Dafa was because he refused to listen to me. I tried again to tell him how people received blessings when they sincerely recited, “Falun Dafa is good; Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” He still refused to listen.
On my way out I spoke to his wife, “Maintaining one's health is a person's number one priority. You know that I have remained healthy over the last 20 years because I practice Falun Dafa. When people say the auspicious phrases, they will be connected to the positive energy of the universe, which helps disperse negative energy, eliminates the virus, and helps people recover from whatever illness they have. Saying the words costs you nothing, as long as you are sincere. Why not give it a try?”
She immediately said, “Okay, we must do it, I will tell him.”
I went to see my brother the next day. I reminded him to recite the auspicious phrases, and this time he immediately agreed. From that day on, his condition improved and he was discharged from the hospital within a week.
He told me that his body felt light and comfortable. I am so happy for him and the blessings he received by acknowledging Dafa.
